Early Taste of Winter Hits Mammoth Mountain and Sierra at Tahoe

Today is all SMILES here at THEBLEND.COM office along with a lot of high fives and the word shredding might have been said 500 times! Winter is back and a storm struck Mammoth Lakes,California and the Sierra Nevada mountains on October 4 and 5, 2011. La Nina round #2 bring it on we are ready. The first snowfall of the season gives our whole crew goosebumps and we are cracking beers and doing shots excited for winter 2012 would be a understatement.

8:43am snowfall total at Main Lodge = 12 inches!
IT’S SNOWING IN MAMMOTH!!! Snow started coming down overnight here in Mammoth and my 8am today (Wed) there is a foot of snow on the ground at Main Lodge. More is expected throughout the day so keep checking back for updates.
Mammoth Bike Park is closed for the season. Thanks to everyone who came here and rode during our best season ever. See you next summer.
Mammoth Mountain is scheduled to open for skiing and snowboarding on Thursday, November 10, 2011.
